Black Moda Oy

Black Moda Oy is a Finnish family-owned textile company founded in 1996. The company has an established and stable position in the industry, with its business premises located in Linnakallio, Pirkkala.

Black Moda operates its own brands Aarre (Pumpkin Design Oy) and Puuvillatehdas, as well as the licensed brand RATIA. In addition, the company acts as a manufacturer for several Finnish brands. Black Moda’s second family-owned business, its own sewing factory Black Moda Portugal, is located in Ponte de Lima in northern Portugal, where the majority of the company’s products are manufactured.

The purpose of the sustainability website is to communicate Black Moda Oy’s sustainability efforts, goals, and challenges to the company’s customers, retailers, partners, and other stakeholders. Black Moda Portugal, Lda

The owning family’s second company, Black Moda Portugal Lda, is a sewing factory located in northern Portugal and was established in 2008. Black Moda Portugal holds an OEKO-TEX® certification.

The production is specialized in knitwear and in recent years has also expanded into woven garments. Black Moda Portugal combines high-quality textile manufacturing, strong craftsmanship expertise, and responsibility. Having in-house production in Portugal provides a foundation for rapid response and flexible collaboration between customer service and production.
